How Are We Different?
All members of our design team have real world production experience. When we evaluate facilities, we look at them as if we had to use them. Assessing the project from this perspective assures that each design is well thought out for real world use. Plus, our team follows each project to completion. AVL Designs Inc. provides onsite testing and commissioning of all systems to confirm that they meet the design goals. We also tailor custom training programs for each project. End users should not be left with technology that no one can operate.
Our Method
AVL Designs Inc. listens. This is not our project, it is yours. We rely on you and your team to give us as much input as possible. We apply our expertise to your goals, we do not design a facility to please ourselves.
Computer Aided Design
AVL Designs Inc. applies computer analysis where it is best suited to verify how our designs will perform. We also know enough to know the things that software cannot tell you…
Product Choice & Evaluation
Many consultants design using a small range of products lines. Some even let manufacturers assist with design. This saves the consultant time and money but may not deliver the best results for you.
(We have found that if you ask a manufacturer what to use, most likely they will recommend only their own products.)
AVL Designs Inc. communicates with manufacturers and vendors but we do not let them determine outcomes. It is our responsibility to know what we are designing. We use as wide a range of products as required to meet the project needs.
State Of The Art
State of the art can be like a beta software package, the result being a not-so-great experience. We do not like to use products that we have not experienced firsthand, so we may be a bit “old school” in our approach, meaning we try to get our hands on things and try them before we specify them.
We test in-house and in the field. Can we test everything? Of course not! But we do our best to make sure that key products perform based on first hand experience.
